Non-Magnetic Stabilizer

The non-magnetic stabilizer is made from a single solid forging of non-magnetic steel.

Share:

The non-magnetic stabilizer is manufactured from a single solid forging of high-purity Chromium Manganese Austenitic stainless steel, offering excellent non-magnetic properties while maintaining the structural integrity required for downhole use. The maximum Crown OD size can reach 26″.

Application

Non-magnetic stabilizers are deployed in the bottom-hole assembly (BHA) alongside MWD/LWD tools, where standard magnetic steel stabilizers would compromise the accuracy of directional survey instruments. By using non-magnetic stabilizers in this section of the drill string, operators can maintain reliable magnetic survey data while still achieving effective wellbore stabilization, vibration reduction, and directional control.

Key Features

  • Single solid forging — no welds, uniform material integrity throughout
  • High-purity Chromium Manganese Austenitic stainless steel
  • Non-magnetic: no interference with downhole survey instruments
  • Maximum Crown OD up to 26″
  • Suitable for Oil & Gas directional drilling, MWD/LWD operations
